Shipping Policy:
Please note that all orders are shipped only once payment reflects in the Landmark account. Unfortunately, due to high levels of fraud in SA, we need to protect our business by doing this.
Different Shipping Options:
When placing your order with Landmark Computers you are faced with a few options regarding shipping. Please refer below for the definition of these terms:
Main Centre Standard 2-3 Days - 2-3 Working Days from Confirmation of Payment: For shipping to main city centres that have an airport such as Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth etc. Pretoria is included as an exception.
Regional Standard 3-5 Days - 3-5 Working Days from Confirmation of Payment: For all towns or cities that do not have an airport besides Pretoria. An example would be outlying towns such as Knysna and Pilgrims Rest.
Main Centre Express Overnight - Orders are processed once payment reflects in our account and shipped to any Main Centre overnight via our Courier.
Collection - Collecting from Landmark Computers - For collection from either us or from our suppliers directly in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Please ensure you exclude Shipping Insurance on your order as this is not needed.
Landmark Computers does not deliver to PO Box addresses as we use a courier service, not the Post Office.
Determining Shipping Fees:
As all orders are unique with different weigh and locations it is impossible for us to determine the shipping costs to you here. However, our website can do this. Simply add your items to your cart and proceed to check-out. Before the final check-out there is a summary of your order with the shipping fee as well as shipping insurance (optional).
Locally Sourced Items:
Landmark Computers usually ships all local supplied products within 1 day from confirmation of payment assuming that the product/s is/are in stock. We advise you to please ensure that you have emailed the proof of payment to sales@landmarkpc.co.za to warrant the process runs smoothly. All Nedbank users can be assured that payment will show immediately while other banking institution users may have to wait 1 to 2 working days before we can confirm payment. Larger and heavier items with a weight of over 5 kilograms (volumetric) will be shipped via road service and may take up to 3 workings days for delivery. We use the services of The Courier Guy but if the customer wishes to use their own couriers we require an email requesting the service and a telephone number of that courier. Please note that rural areas may be delayed by an additional 2 working days.
SOI Items
SOI (Special Order Items) are imported from either the USA or Europe via DHL. These items are clearly marked on the product information page as SOI and usually take 10 working days for delivery. However the Customs process is out of our hands and therefore may take longer. If this is the case the customer will be informed via email as soon as we have confirmation of the delay and an ETA given.
We will then try our best to ensure the item is shipped as soon as possible without any further delay via The Courier Guy. As with local items, any item/s under 2 kilograms will be sent overnight while larger and heavier will be send via road service that may take up to 3 working days. Please note that rural areas may be delayed by an additional 2 working days.
General
We only ship to residential or work addresses.
Please note that there is an optional shipping insurance of all products at a rate of 2% of the value of the ordered item. We strongly suggest customers use this option when purchasing expensive items for peace of mind. Once an order is shipped the customer can contact The Courier Guy on 0861203203 to track the whereabouts of the package.
Returns Policy:
All items bought from Landmark Computers have a 1 year warranty unless otherwise stated.
If an item fails within 7 days of purchase or arrives DOE (Dead on Arrival) we will swap the item out for another once tested by us or our supplier. In this case we will require all merchandise such as cables, manuals, CDs and brochures etc that came with the product to be sent back with the product purchased. If there are any items missing we have the right to refuse a refund until the said items are returned. Failing which we will pass the items on to the respective suppliers for recommendation.
All items bought from Landmark may be returned to us within 7 days for a refund (there may be a 10% handling charge applicable depending on the supplier). However, all items must be sealed and in a condition fit for resell. We display as much information of the products we sell as possible on our website and therefore require our customers to carefully read this before making any purchases from us.
We do not refund any software that has been opened or tampered with.
Landmark Computers will cover all shipping costs of any faulty item/s within their manufacturer warranty that may need to be returned to us for RMA. We do however require that the faulty item/s are diagnosed by a PC technician before we arrange collection to ensure the correct faulty part is being returned.
All SOI items are subject to a 15% (of the total amount paid) restocking fee no matter the circumstances of the return. Returns are shipped back to the international supplier once a month.
